New information has come to light regarding the tragic deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were found at their Los Angeles home residence on Sunday.

The Discovery

As detailed in an account quoting a person close to the family, a massage therapist scheduled for an session first raised the alarm after being unable to gain access the residence. This individual then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

Upon entering the residence, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Her roommate who had accompanied her contacted 911. Afterward, paramedics discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

Authorities have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, as well as the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is currently detained and denied bail.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, roughly 15 miles from the family home. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, stated his client had not been medically cleared and would be unable to attend until no sooner than Wednesday.
