Iran Reports Strike on US Base in Bahrain, Amid Widespread Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched strikes across the region in response for a significant and continuing attack targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity near the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any destruction is unclear and the United States has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to American military installations - said they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their air space.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was targeting US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on the Islamic Republic initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That initial attack - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck locations associated with the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military reported it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses engaged the projectiles with great effectiveness and successfully intercepted a number of missiles," it added.
Officials reported missile fragments landed in a populated district in the capital, resulting in some structural damage and killing a civilian.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
