An Australian man who vaulted across a fence and touched celebrity Ariana Grande has been expelled and banned from Singapore.

The individual, 26, was given a sentence to over a week in jail for causing a public disturbance and has now been "banned from entering the country again," Singaporean immigration authorities informed local media.

Wen pushed past photographers and approached aggressively the celebrity, who was attending the Asian premier for the film on November 13. Co-star Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

Wen has a history of disrupting concerts and star-studded occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year.

The occurrence provoked strong reactions in Singapore, with several individuals claiming he of re-traumatising Grande.

The pop star has discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at her performance in the UK city in spring of 2017 resulted in the deaths of 22 individuals and hurt numerous attendees.

In the legal process, the authorities learned he had attempted to intrude on the film's premiere multiple times, according to regional reports.

He then made a second attempt to cross the barriers. Security staff prevented him and pinned him down.

He then uploaded video clips expressing gratitude to the star for allowing his presence and said he was "free."

Authorities took him into custody the following day and charged him with disorderly conduct, to which Wen pleaded guilty.

The Court Judge the judicial official was cited by Channel News Asia as saying that he was looking for publicity, noting that he was incorrect to believe he would not experience repercussions.

Grande has not commented on the incident.

The co-star mentioned the event to NBC, stating that she "simply desired to ensure my co-star was protected."

"I believe he didn't mean us harm, but you never know with such situations, and I wanted to ensure that she was alright. That was my initial reaction," she said.
